Rooted in cultural preservation and built on a foundation of equity, resilience, and intergenerational empowerment, Liberian Mandingo Association of Pennsylvania (LIMAP) exists to address the persistent gaps in youth development, women’s economic participation, healthcare access, legal navigation, and civic inclusion.

OUR EVENTS
ACANA (African Cultural Alliance of North America) hosts various events like cultural festivals and celebrations that feature African and Caribbean communities, including those of Liberian descent. These events often highlight cultural ambassadors and serve as a platform for community engagement.

African Family Health Organization (AFAHO) regularly hosts events focused on health, wellness, and cultural celebration. These events help address the needs of African and Caribbean immigrant communities.

The Philadelphia City Council hosts meetings and events related to immigration justice, advocacy, and community engagement. These include discussions on policies impacting immigrant communities, including issues around detention and deportation resistance.

Managed by the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, the Philadelphia Welcoming Fund provides grants to local nonprofits. Events related to this fund may include fundraising or grant distribution events supporting immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeker initiatives.
